In a nail biting finish to yesterday’s Cumann na mBunscol Final our boys were crowned champions after their 4-7 to 4-6 win over Drumconrath NS.
In front of a large crowd at Páirc Tailteann the boys produced some outstanding football & displayed incredible determination & teamwork until the final whistle blew.
There was a frenzy of excitment in the stand in Pairc Tailteann when our joint captains Dylan Clarke & Cian Briody accepted the cup on behalf of the team.
Huge congratulations to Noah Foster, 4th Class, who was chosen as the Meath Chronicle ‘Man of the Match’ for his inspirational performance as goalkeeper.
I would just like to thank everyone for coming out in such large numbers to support the team. It was wonderful to see so many past pupils & their families.
I would also like to thank Ms Allen & Tommy Moriarty for all their work in recent weeks coaching & preparing the team for the final. They left no stone unturned & that showed in yesterday’s winning performance. Dreams came through in front of our eyes.
The celebrations continued long after the match & will continue this week in school!
