A Golden Year of STEM 🏅

17th Jun, 2025

We are thrilled to officially announce we have won a Gold Curious Minds Award for the fifth year in a row! This recognises our continued commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) across all classes.

Check out the fantastic feedback we received from the judges this year:
Congratulations to all the staff and learners at Scoil Mhuire Carlanstown on your Gold Curious Minds Award. Your log of evidence clearly shows there were many fantastic STEM activities throughout the year, such as making lava lamps and wooden lifts, investigating magnets, and participating in Maths and Space Week.
It was wonderful to see learners working in teams to create and measure the longest paper chain using just one piece of paper—it looked like great fun! It was great to see during your Show and Tell event that older classes were teaching younger classes about coding. It looked like an excellent day filled with learning and fun. Keep up all the amazing STEM activities.”

We’re so proud of this achievement and can’t wait to keep exploring and enjoying STEM next year! 👏
