Congratulations to all our boys and girls who received their award for 100% attendance in Term 3.
Ten of our pupils received a Gold Award for their outstanding full attendance during 2018 - 2019
On Wednesday 12th June Second & Third Class went on their school tour to High Jinks in Clonard House. They stepped back in time & experienced what it was like to live in Victorian times.
Regretably as the weather deteriorated last Friday, we had to suspend Sports Day at 12.30. We hope to hold our individual & team races when the weather improves this week.
Our boys & girls from 3rd & 4th class competed in an Inter-School Blitz in Drumconrath GAA grounds last Wednesday. Despite the rain they had a fantastic day. For some of our younger players it was their first experience of competitive play!
Congratulations to the boys and girls from Second Class who received the sacrament of First Holy Communion on Sunday 12th May surrounded by their family and friends at a very special ceremony in Kilbeg Church.
When Mairead McGuinness visited the school on May 9th to mark Europe Day & the school's participation in the Blue Star Programme, we took the opportunity to ask her to offically open the our New Outdoor Classroom & Sensory Playspace!
Thank you to all the Dads & their 'Little Helpers' who came to the school over the Bank Holiday weekend and helped complete the work in the new play space & garden.
You may have been in the village over the Easter holidays & noticed that there has been lots of work in the new play space at the school. Paddy Colgan with the help of some of our parents did the initial groundwork & built outdoor play furniture.

We invited our parents to our Mini Musicians End of Term Performance on Monday 8th April . The Juniors, Seniors, First and Second class entertained us with their favourite songs. They also performed two plays & our recorder group played eight songs!
