6th class’ hard work and dedication has paid off and our school has been awarded The Blue Star award! We recently hosted programme patron and Minister Thomas Byrne in 6th class, where the children had an opportunity to showcase their learning about the E.U. this year. The children also exhibited their work to their younger peers in celebration of ‘Europe Day’. Well done 6th class on all your commitment to the project this year!
Following the completion of the programme, Ms. R. Curran was selected for the annual Blue Star teacher study trip to Brussels, Belgium. Ms. Curran will join 19 teachers from around the country in visiting the European Parliament and European Commission in Brussels, and will have the opportunity to engage in a roundtable discussion with M.E.P.s!
A very special thank you to Ms. Curran for all of her hard work, dedication and enthusiasm in guiding the class throughout the project and helping them achieve this fantastic award.
