6th class have been learning about Early Christian Ireland in history; monasteries, high crosses, and The Book of Kells. The children have particularly enjoyed this topic because of our proximity to Kells, which is steeped in history from this period. We were lucky enough to embark on the historical walking tour of Kells, which allowed us to get up close and personal with remnants from this period, which are right on our doorstep!
